ASWAJA: Journal of Islam and Pesantren Studies is an academic journal published by STAI AGH Sanusi Baco Maros, Indonesia. The journal serves as an academic platform for the publication of research and scholarly works that explore studies on Islam and pesantren.

Its scope covers a wide range of topics in Islamic and pesantren studies, including normative, historical, textual, social, and contextual studies, as well as scholarly traditions, social communities, and cultural actors. Accepted studies may address themes such as Qur’anic studies, Islamic thought, tafsir, hadith, local Islamic traditions, pesantren traditions, turath (Islamic intellectual heritage), ecotheological discourse, religious moderation, and others.

The journal is open to researchers, academics, and practitioners who wish to contribute critical and empirical studies on the development of Islamic and pesantren studies within the dynamics of contemporary Muslim society.
